I am so grateful to have discovered Roxanne. After decades of dealing with back issues, I am finally able to move with confidence again. Roxanne’s positive approach is based on attentive listening, genuine interest and professional knowledge and skills. Roxanne at PT Health was the third different PT I’ve seen in the last 4 years for neck and back pain, and seeing her was the best and most unique experience. Roxanne was the first PT to review practical matters impacting the back pain in my everyday life, including setting up my car seat, optimizing the ergonomics of my desk and chair, and tweaking the supports and set up of my bed to ensure proper spine alignment. All of the other PTs I’ve seen were fixated on getting exercises done during sessions rather than listening and offering real solutions like Roxanne does. Roxanne is also very flexible and works to do things at your pace, comfort level, and according to your schedule rather than insisting on a set number of sessions per week. Not being able to use insurance may be a turnoff for some people but the improved experience was worth it.

On two separate occasions, I’ve needed to see Roxanne to help with what were at the time, very debilitating injuries. My first issue involved a knee injury with so much pain that all I could see in my future was replacement surgery. Little did I know, with Roxanne’s excellent guidance and in depth assessment and knowledge, ALL that was required was some simple stretches that enabled my knee to heal itself. To date, I’ve had minor flares and again, stretching got me back to normal. More recently, an injury to my elbow was causing significant pain, loss of sleep and was essentially shutting down my normal very active lifestyle. So, I got in touch with the person who I jokingly, but with a substantial amount of truth, call my fountain of youth in Amherst NH. Roxanne again gave me a very thorough assessment and set me up with a set of exercises and stretches to aid with the healing of my diagnosed tendonitis. After two visits, I was showing significant improvement and currently, I’ve recovered to what I would assess to be 90%. I still have a little stiffness and need to be wary of proper movement as well as continue to do her prescribed exercises. During our sessions, she asked me what I felt was needed to get me an overall improved quality of life and subsequently set me up with a series of basic and very simple stretches and exercises, working issues from my neck down to my ankles. These have made such an improvement in my flexibility and lessened body aches and pains I can honestly say I feel like I’m in my 40s again, therein lies the fountain of youth reference. Having injured my shoulder, a few months back, I went to see Roxanne at PT Health Academy. I was very impressed with the time she spent to evaluate my shoulder issue and develop a plan to get me back up and running. I liked your no pressure approach and attention to each participant’s limitations/individual needs (like my ankle) and being taught how to do each exercise the correct way (pelvic neutral, posture etc). I like the fact that you are focusing on prevention (balance as people get older, better posture) while providing a routine that is a well rounded workout that people of all ages can do. I feel it is a very practical class because the exercises each serve a purpose to keep you fit and are designed prevent/minimize future problems.

Roxanne is an amazing therapist! I’ve had previousnjury that got re-injured at work in my shoulder/shoulder blade. She’s able to diagnosed it. She goes above and beyond to help me manage my pain and showing me how to ease it through therapy and exercises, I am fully capable of working my arms/shoulder without any pain and know how to manage it when it retracted especially with my neck. 9 years ago I sprained my ankle badly, and didn’t get any treatment for it. It took 4 years before I was completely pain-free. This time when I sprained the other ankle, I decided I wasn’t willing to deal with it for that long. PT Health Academy was a great choice for my PT. Roxanne worked with me to evaluate the injury, developed a progressive plan of strengthening and stretching exercises, and guide me through the process over the course of 6 visits. I definitely feel that the 1-hour sessions were more productive than I would have seen in the 30-minute visits that you get with most PT providers, and her flexibility to schedule visits after working hours made it easy on my schedule. After 6 visits over the course of 2 months, I’m completely pain-free and have been able to resume normal activities. I also have a good list of exercises that will continue to strengthen the ankle and reduce the likelihood of further injury. I can’t recommend PT Health Academy enough!

I went to see Roxanne for 6 sessions of p/t and she exceeded my expectations. With each exercise we did, she always took the time to ensure that I fully understood all the steps, and proper form, and didn’t have any questions. Following each session, she sent her notes in the Portal, which summarized what we had done, and included pictures of the exercises, to show the proper form. She also clearly stated what I should be working on, between sessions. This was very helpful to print out as a guide. And she said not to hesitate to call, if any questions arose, before my next appointment. Roxanne is very knowledgeable, pleasant, and just a delight to work with. If I need p/t in the future, she will be my go to.
