Growing up in southeastern Michigan, my career began in High School, spending four years as the boys’ basketball student athletic trainer.

I continued this path in college, attending the University of Toledo, earning a bachelor’s degree in Athletic Training and becoming Certified (ATC) in 1994. I continued my higher level education by attending the Medical College of Ohio and graduated in 1996 with a bachelor’s degree in Physical Therapy.

[/et_pb_text][/et_pb_column][/et_pb_row][et_pb_row _builder_version=”4.16″ _module_preset=”default” global_colors_info=”{}”][et_pb_column type=”4_4″ _builder_version=”4.16″ _module_preset=”default” global_colors_info=”{}”][et_pb_text _builder_version=”4.16″ _module_preset=”default” text_font_size=”16px” text_line_height=”1.8em” global_colors_info=”{}”]

My first job out of college was at a small community hospital in rural Ohio. I’ve worked in outpatient orthopedics from the start, moving to New Hampshire in 1998, where I started working as a NH physical therapist.

In 2008, I completed a fellowship in manual therapy at the Institute of Orthopedic Manual Therapy in Woburn, Massachusetts. Through this fellowship experience, I learned the Kaltenborn-Evjenth Orthopedic Manual Therapy Concept, which focuses intensely on joint and body mechanics. With this expertise I am better able to evaluate and treat injury using specialized joint mobilization and other hands on assessment and treatment techniques.

Using this specialized training, I’ve successfully worked with a wide variety of orthopedic injuries in patients of all ages. I love being able to help my patients not only feel better, but actually move better, too.

[/et_pb_text][/et_pb_column][/et_pb_row][/et_pb_section][et_pb_section fb_built=”1″ _builder_version=”4.16″ _module_preset=”default” custom_padding=”3px||39px|||” global_colors_info=”{}”][et_pb_row _builder_version=”4.16″ width=”100%” custom_padding=”16px||11px|||” global_colors_info=”{}”][et_pb_column type=”4_4″ _builder_version=”4.16″ custom_padding=”|||” global_colors_info=”{}” custom_padding__hover=”|||”][et_pb_text _builder_version=”4.16″ text_font=”||||||||” text_font_size=”16px” text_line_height=”2em” header_font=”||||||||” header_2_font=”Montserrat||||||||” header_2_text_align=”center” header_2_text_color=”#2f70bf” header_2_font_size=”40px” header_2_line_height=”1.4em” header_5_font=”||||||||” header_5_text_color=”#7f8dff” header_5_line_height=”2em” text_orientation=”center” width_tablet=”” width_phone=”90%” width_last_edited=”on|phone” module_alignment=”center” custom_margin=”||-3px|||” header_2_font_size_tablet=”” header_2_font_size_phone=”30px” header_2_font_size_last_edited=”on|phone” locked=”off” global_colors_info=”{}”]

[/et_pb_text][et_pb_divider color=”#2f70bf” _builder_version=”4.16″ _module_preset=”default” width_tablet=”” width_phone=”80%” width_last_edited=”on|phone” custom_margin=”||5px|||” module_alignment_tablet=”” module_alignment_phone=”center” module_alignment_last_edited=”on|phone” global_colors_info=”{}”][/et_pb_divider][et_pb_text _builder_version=”4.16″ _module_preset=”default” text_font_size=”16px” text_line_height=”1.8em” width=”100%” width_tablet=”” width_phone=”70%” width_last_edited=”on|desktop” module_alignment=”center” module_alignment_tablet=”” module_alignment_phone=”center” module_alignment_last_edited=”on|phone” global_colors_info=”{}”]

I am also passionate about providing physical therapy and wellness education throughout the Southern New Hampshire community. I have taught in a variety of settings, including working as a lab instructor for Physical Therapy classes at the University of Findlay and teaching Pregnancy in Motion classes at Southern New Hampshire Medical Center. Currently, I teach aquarobics (aerobics in deep water) classes at Hampshire Hills Athletic Club.

I’ve been a guest speaker for garden clubs, quilting groups, and a Parkinson’s group, teaching on a variety of topics. And I teach virtual and in-person physical therapy workshops focused on injury management and prevention.

My areas of clinical interest include low back and neck pain, foot and ankle mechanics, dance and sports medicine, teaching healthy movement patterns, and injury prevention. I’ve also completed extensive continuing education in the areas of osteoporosis and Ehler’s Danlos Syndrome.

As an orthopedic Physical Therapist since 1996, my experience has taught me that while Physical Therapy is an effective approach to find the cause of pain and treat it, Physical Therapy’s most powerful benefit is the effective correction of body mechanics to make the holistic changes necessary to prevent reinjury.

My Passion for Wellness Education
